Training Program: Participant agrees to enroll in the Birth, Baby! Academy Birth Doula Training program ("Training Program") for the purpose of learning about doula practices, childbirth education, and related topics.

Liability Release: Participant understands and acknowledges that the Training Program provided by the Academy is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Participant agrees that the Academy, its instructors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any actions taken by Participant based on information provided during the Training Program.

Photo and Video Release: Participant grants the Academy permission to use any photographs, videos, or other media featuring Participant taken during the Training Program for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes, both online and offline.

Confidentiality: Participant agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary information or materials shared during the Training Program and not to disclose such information to third parties without prior written consent from the Academy.

Enrollment in this birth doula training program is non-refundable. Due to the nature of the course—whether live, recorded, digital, or including access to proprietary materials—all sales are final. Once you have registered and secured your spot, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, personal circumstances, or changes in availability.

Requirements for Certification

Complete the 3-day workshop OR the online self-paced program
Complete the required reading
Meet with 3 other birth doulas and 3 other perinatal professionals
Create a local resource list (guidelines will be given)
Outline your business plan/strategy (guidelines will be given)
Complete the Lactation Management for Doulas and Birth Workers course from LER
Attend a childbirth education class (guidelines will be given)
Attend three births as the primary doula using Pathway 1 or Pathway 2.
Complete all module assignments
Complete and submit your portfolio within 2 years of registration. If you need an extension, contact your trainers. Extensions will be $100 per year.

More details will be given when you receive your certification packet after registration. You will have our support through this process for any questions you come up with along the way. This list of requirements is not meant to be intimidating. These requirements are to ensure you’re entering into doula work as prepared as you can be.
